I have been a photographer for almost 20 years but have only recently gone past the hobbyist stage and dedicated more time to this art.

Photography was, initially, a requirement as the editor of my highschool yearbook my senior year.  It got me out of class all day long to shoot content for the yearbook, and at the age of 17 I thought that was pretty cool.  After graduation, I decided to major in journalism and English, and photography was, again, a requirement for my journalism studies.  I'm still a writer all these years later, and photography is still a lot of fun for me.  It doesn't get me out of class anymore, but I still think it's pretty cool.

Most of my focus these days is varied.  I love getting outdoors and taking landscape photos of the Pacific Northwest, and I've been known to spend hours at the local dog park taking photos of our three girls - Chi, Dakota, and Rikku.  I sometimes even get a good photo of "the old man" - Eldritch, our 10 year old Chow - while he's out in the yard or lying around the house.  I enjoy animal photography of all kinds.

I've always loved fashion and fashion photography, so that will be a main focus in my current work.   I'll also be working on building my portfolio around more commercial and editorial work, and I always need new and experienced models for that, so keep an eye on the Upcoming Projects page for more info.

At this point I'm looking for anything that will get my attention - whether it be a gritty photoshoot in the industrial areas of Tacoma or a serene setting like the mountain lakes in the Cascades.  I'm obviously open to anything, and in some instances I'm willing to trade my time for portfolio development (TFP, TFCD) if it would be mutually beneficial.  I only offer TF* shoots to models who are actively developing their portfolio and who, in my opinion, have what it takes to make it as a model, either professionally or just as a hobby.

Please feel free to contact me at any time.  I will be more than happy to discuss my current projects and current rates to help you get the absolute best photos you could hope for.  And if you want to shoot something that I haven't mentioned on my website, let me know.  I'm more than happy to shoot any genre or style that you may need or want, whether for your portfolio, business needs, or your own personal photo album.
